Majestätisch, wie er da thront, das Wappentier der Familie Lodron. Dieser Löwe stand ursprünglich im Garten des Palastes der Familie Lodron auf der anderen Salzachseite. Leider ist das große Tor hinter dem Löwen verschlossen. Von dort gelangt man über eine Wendeltreppe ins Dom-Museum und in das DomQuartier. Im Domquartier, das sind 5 Museen, die das Zusammenspiel von 1300 Jahren Salzburger Herrschaftsgeschichte, Kunst, Musik und Architektur vereinen, (www.domquartier.at) bin ich in der Kunstvermittlung tätig aber momentan sind leider alle Museen geschlossen. Um frische Luft zu schnappen drehen wir in Salzburg trotzdem weiter unsere Runden, nur leider ohne unsere Gäste und heute ganz sportlich mit den Inline-Skatern.
Can you recognize the pretzel-tailed lion? It’s the heraldic animal of the Italian aristocratic family Lodron in the vestibule of Salzburgs cathedral. During the regency of Archbishop Paris Lodron the actual cathedral was inaugurated on September 25th. in the year 1628. Everybody is so sad that all the museums are actually closed. Normally I am working as well as „Art Mediator“ in the DomQuartier. The DomQuartier (www.domquartier.at/en) gives an idea of 1300 years of the archbishopric’s political domination, music, art and the unique architecture. Today, instead of guiding guests through the city center, we (my daughter and me) had a stroll into town with our in-line skates.
Vedete questo leone maestoso nel vestibolo della cathedrale di Salisburgo? E la coda assomiglia a un brezel! Il leone è l’animale araldico della famiglia nobile Lodrone del Trentino. I discendenti della famiglia Lodrone possiedono ancora oggi il palazzo Lodrone a Villa Lagarina e tra l’altro producono un vino eccellente. Grazie a tutti principi arcivescovi, tra l’altro Paride Lodrone, che hanno chiamato architetti italiani e loro chiamando p.e. scalpellini dalla Valle Intelvi, artisti, operai e artigiani da tutta l’Italia trasformando questa città in un vero gioiello barocco. La porta lignea dietro leone si riaprirà di nuovo e poi potrete visitare il DomQuartier. Anche nel Domquartier (www.domquartier.at/it) sono guida autorizzata e mi piacerebbe farvi vedere l’appartamento del principe arcivescovo con la sfarzosa decorazione di stucchi dorati, arazzi, candelabri di cristallo di Murano.
