Man glaubt es kaum, aber diese Lamas sind Arbeitstiere in den Salzburger Bergen. Sie helfen dem Hüttenwirt der Werfener Hütte, die benötigten Lebensmittel auf fast 2000 m Höhe zu bringen. Zusätzlich bringt der Helikopter einmal im Monat die Getränke hinauf. Auch die Gäste, die die Hütte besuchen, sind eingeladen, ein Stück Brennholz oder einen Kanister voll mit Wasser zur Hütte hinauf zu tragen. Da das Tennengebirge ein Karstgebirge ist, gibt es auf den Höhen keine Quelle und das Wasser muss sehr sparsam verwendet werden.
Hard to believe to see a Lama on top of the Austrian mountains. They are so cute and everybody loves to caress them. The views over the Salzach Valley up to the main chain of the Alps are amazing and the fresh air with the scent of nature and hay makes everybody staying so well. Arriving at the Werfener Hütte we had a delicious Dal (Indian dish with lentils), prepared by one of the Nepalese, helping to run the restaurant with simple but really great home-made dishes.
Le passeggiate in montagna mi fanno rilassare tanto. La natura è come uno SPA all’aperto. Dopo le sudate della salita è un grande piacere rilassarsi sul balcone della montagna e osservare il corso del sole. Nel frattempo i bimbi si godono di poter accarezzare il lama, che ha un pelo molto particolare. La discesa non impiega tanto tempo e dopo l’arrivo giù nella valle ci siamo tuffati in un laghetto a Werfenweng, che serve da piscina comunale. Che gioia di fare un bagno in mezzo questa montagna spettacolare!
